JAMESTOWN, Mo. — McBride Homes has officially reached a landmark agreement with the St. Louis County Port Authority to spearhead the long-anticipated redevelopment of the former Jamestown Mall site in north St. Louis County. The sprawling, 145-acre property has sat vacant and deteriorating for over a decade, representing one of the most prominent commercial eyesores and redevelopment challenges in the region.

Under the new agreement, McBride Homes plans to transform the blighted parcel into a vibrant residential community featuring hundreds of single-family homes and modern neighborhood infrastructure. Local officials, community leaders, and surrounding homeowners have expressed overwhelming enthusiasm for the project, viewing it as a catalyst for renewed economic investment, suburban growth, and commercial revitalization across north county.
