LOUIS — In a major commercial transaction along the Delmar Loop, the outer space-themed Moonrise Hotel located at 6177 Delmar Boulevard has been sold by Loop Hotels LLC to 6175 Delmar Partners LLC for $14.5 million. The 125-room boutique hotel, famous for its rotating rooftop moon and celestial decor, has been a cornerstone of the district's hospitality scene since opening in 2009.
Longtime developer and St. Louis civic icon Joe Edwards decided to sell the signature property as part of an ongoing effort to simplify his extensive business holdings in the area. Edwards assured guests and community members that the hotel's distinctive character, dedicated staff, and unique theme will remain intact under the new ownership group, which plans to maintain the property's role as a premier destination for visitors.
